Chantal Pavageaux — Director of Walking in Memphis... and God of Our Fathers

Chantal Pavageaux is a multi-media artist working in installation, performance and textile art, as well as a freelance director and playwright. She created the The Love Party, a series of performances with environmental installations originally developed at the Red Eye Theatre, and The Political Party, an election-night interactive pot-luck performance with performer/artist Jake Margolin. For the Twin Cites Chekhov Festival she wrote and directed
tres bitches –or—i wanna go to moscow, a new adaptation of
The Three Sisters involving cheerleaders, line dancing, and an ongoing Power Point presentation led by an expert on the play. As a member of the Tofte Lake Center Emerging Artist Residency and the Mabou Mines/Suite Resident Artist Program she collaborated with artists Jake Margolin, Nicholas Vaughan and Zachary Humes on
The Breezy Pines, a collection of pieces, installations and performances about mobility and connection. Chantal is currently developing an interactive dinner party about muses, artists, waitresses and dreamers.
